Homemade Sauces - 3 Recipes with Dill, Tomatoes, Garlic

• 1 bunch of dill
• 300 ml of milk
• 4 tablespoons sour cream
• 2 tablespoons flour
• 1 teaspoon of sugar
• 1 teaspoon of vinegar
• salt and pepper to taste

Bring the milk to a boil. Keep a few tablespoons of milk to dissolve the cream and flour in a separate bowl. When the milk boils, pour the milk cream, cream and flour over it and mix well with a whisk. Let the heat simmer, stirring until the composition thickens and acquires the consistency of a sauce.

Wash the dill and finely chop it and add it at the end, along with the sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper. We take the dish off the heat and taste it sweet, salty or sour. For a richer flavor, you can add a little garlic or yogurt.

• 300 ml of broth or tomato juice
• 3 tablespoons flour
• 1 liter of water or chicken or vegetable soup
• 2 tablespoons sugar
• salt and pepper to taste
• optional flavors: bay leaves, paprika, curry

Mix the flour with a little water using a whisk to obtain a thin dough. In a bowl on the fire, put the rest of the water or soup with the broth or tomato juice. Add the sugar and mix well. At the first boil, pour the composition of water with flour, stirring constantly with the whisk to avoid the formation of lumps. Stir until the sauce begins to thicken. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and add a bay leaf and 1 teaspoon of paprika. Let it boil for another 1-2 minutes, until the spices dissolve. Stir last time with the whisk and if the sauce has lumps, strain it through a sieve. This sauce can be reheated by putting a little water in the bowl.

• 4-5 cloves of garlic
• 2 cups of milk
• 10 g of butter
• 3 tablespoons sour cream
• 3 tablespoons flour
• 1 teaspoon of sugar
• 1 teaspoon of vinegar

Put 2 glasses (200 ml) of milk to boil in a large bowl. In a bowl, mix ½ glass (100 ml) of milk with cream and flour, using a whisk. When the milk boils, incorporate the flour cream and mix well with the whisk. Let the heat simmer until the composition has a thick consistency. Add salt, sugar, vinegar and butter, and finally crushed garlic.

Other aromatic plants can be added to these sauces: rosemary, thyme, oregano, depending on the taste of each one.

For this dish I have to thank my neighbors from the pavilion, they are very nice people. Besides the fact that they helped us throughout the construction with a ladder or an ax, now, every time we go there, they give us something from their wonderful garden. Mayonnaise recipe with garlic and turmeric

To make healthy mayonnaise with garlic and turmeric, we suggest using vegan ingredients, such as soy milk. Also, instead of using low quality vegetable oils, you should opt for extra virgin olive oil or cold pressed sunflower oil, both being healthier options.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup soy milk (125 ml)
  • 1/2 cup olive oil (125 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric (4 g)
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (30 ml)

Preparing mayonnaise with garlic and turmeric

  • To start, put the soy milk in a bowl. You can make it at home or you can buy it from any big store.
  • Then add the olive oil, a teaspoon of turmeric and the previously crushed garlic cloves.
  • After that, add the lemon juice and salt (to taste).
  • Mix everything in an electric mixer for a few minutes, until the texture becomes similar to that of mayonnaise.
  • Finally, enjoy the dish!

Note: If you put mayonnaise in the fridge, it can last from four to seven days. If you do not want to use lemon juice, you can put organic apple cider vinegar. You can add this tasty dressing to all your favorite dishes!
