Three layers of potatoes can also form, but you may need more potatoes (in order not to use more potatoes, you can try to cut them into thinner slices).

Place the dish in the preheated oven, on the middle stage, over medium heat (180 degrees C) for 30 minutes.

Towards the end, remove and add the two beaten eggs and the grated cheese on top. Put it back in the oven and keep it for a few more minutes (only until the eggs are cooked and the cheese is melted).

You can also use bolognese sauce to prepare the moussaka.

Costs for eight servings
The costs for eight portions of mashed potatoes are about 38-40 RON (2014 prices).

I prepared this mashed potato mash with minced meat boiled potatoes.

I know that the original moussaka recipe is cooked with slices of french fries. But this option (fried rounds) seems to me an explosion of calories.

Sometimes it doesn't hurt to adapt the recipes so that we think about our health. Even with boiled potatoes, moussaka is a pretty filling dish!
